About Crossways

Our Vision

"It is our vision to establish bright, modern and God-loving Churches, within the area of Dartford and beyond"

We believe "Crossways Community Church" will be:

A place filled with God-loving, faith-filled Christians.

A place where the lost find a home.

A place where the hurting can be healed.

A place where sinners can come to repentance.

A place that meets the needs of the local area, surrounding communities and beyond.

A Church that never plays "catch up" but is always forward-thinking in its approach to the world.

A Church that is a support for the surrounding businesses.

A Church that is a sanctuary and place of safety for everyone, from the person you walk past on the street to influential dignitaries of the world.

A Church full of opportunities to reach the lost and proclaim the name of Jesus.

A Church where thousands come to hear the message of Jesus each week.

A Church with vibrant, fun-filled and God-centred Youth & Children's Ministries.

A Church with outstanding Men’s and Women's Ministries, that reaches out and impacts our congregation and beyond,

to be the best Champions for Jesus that they can be.

A Church with a sensitive, caring and active Senior Champions Ministry.

Crossways Community Church will be full of diverse people, embracing all ethnic backgrounds,

physical needs and academic abilities.

The Dream

A 760,000 square foot Champions Centre, filled with thousands of people who have turned their lives around through Jesus.

A main centre where thousands of lives are changed through the different Sunday services,

mid-week meetings, and outreaches.

A state-of-the-art building that still feels like home.

A place where everybody is welcome, and not lost in the crowd.

Our Pastors

Senior Pastors

Steve & Sarah Brindley

At the age of 18, Steve felt called to leave his full-time occupation and 'step out of the boat' to serve the Church he was currently attending.

After a year of  serving voluntarily, both Steve and Sarah were asked to take over as Youth Pastors, full-time, of a fast-growing Church in Gravesend. Over the next 13 years, they moved from Youth Pastors into more developed leadership roles.  Since then, their zeal for serving God through their practical preaching and teaching has increased, and their main passion now is helping people achieve their destiny in their walks with God.

Back in 2014 at a Bible conference, Steve heard the audible voice of God telling him to step down from his and Sarah’s current ministries, and boldly 'step out of the boat' once again, to build a new vibrant Church for Jesus, in the Dartford area.  The Church began with just Steve, Sarah, their 3 children and 3 Trustees. They had no idea who would attend, but God was faithful, as the Church has continued to grow week by week.

Steve and Sarah have always put God first in their lives, and truly stand by His Word in everything they do. Their faith in God is strong, and they are able to communicate and apply God's Word (simply and practically) to today's society.

Steve and Sarah have a strong marriage, having been married for 18 years, and have 3 beautiful children: Sophie, Sam and Stanley.

Crossways is honoured to have a team of dedicated, God-centred Trustees, who serve the Church with their wisdom and diligence. Always seeking God to follow His will, they are called to ensure that the Church complies with the Charity Commission laws, implement procedures and exceed the standard required in managing the Church finances.

In addition to voluntarily serving as Trustees for Crossways Community Church, they are also leaders in their professional fields. Their roles include: a Senior Manager for a large UK telecoms company, a Senior Manager (with training skills) within a well-known technology company, and a Senior Engineer for a large energy company, who has since retired and is now a Magistrate and Prison Monitor. Each Trustee brings their own personality, knowledge, and expertise and provide spiritual guidance when advising the Church.
