Christmas 2020
Merry Christmas Church
Merry Christmas Church!
Wow, what a year it has been… Who would have thought that 2020 would have turned out like it has? This year has been full of words that we never even knew existed - like furlough, lockdown and a tier system! And as a church, we have now had our physical doors closed since March, from the beginning of the first lockdown, and we cannot wait to get back to some sort of normal during 2021!
This year, we started 2020 with the theme of Another Level - who would have thought it, but we have certainly gone to another level with our online side of church, keeping everyone together during this tough and testing season. We then started our Speak Jesus campaign - which we know encouraged many of you to Speak Jesus to your friends, family and the people God has placed in your paths. God has certainly been shared in a variety of ways during this unusual season!
One thing we think everyone would agree on is that we have truly missed meeting with you all this year. We’ve missed the moments where we ‘turn and greet’ each other during our services, we’ve missed the interaction and ‘Amens’ and praying together, and we really have missed the worshipping together as a collective group of followers of Jesus, it has been really tough, but we know that this is only for a season. We continue to put our whole trust and reliance in God, who we know has wonderful things planned for us all in 2021. What a glorious day it will be when we can worship together again!
We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. And although we appreciate that this Christmas maybe different and hard, we know Jesus is still King and no matter what the enemy may throw against us, we know that when we continue to stand - God is faithful to overcome and turn the situations around.
We are believing for a great 2021 not only for our church, but in your lives also.
Please continue to pray for a venue to open up in the new year and as restrictions ease, we look forward to gathering as a church again later in the year.
Have a wonderful, blessed Christmas and enjoy every moment that you can, and we look forward to seeing you all at some point in 2021.
Stay safe and God Bless
Merry Christmas!!
