Thought for the day 18

Thought for the Day

Stanley, our 6 year old son, enjoys watching programs hosted by Steve Backshall - an English explorer and animal expert. Tonight we watched an episode where he and a team of experts explored part of the jungle in South America - apparently where no humans had explored before.

As they made their way down a meandering river in canoes, they came across some spectacular pieces of nature and animals that are truly amazing.

These forests are as God intended, unharmed by humans, and it was a beautiful sight to see. Breathtaking as the helicopters flew over the lands as far as you could see. Waterfalls that shone amazing rainbows and dropped stunningly down to unexplored gorges.

In Genesis it says that God looked at His creation and it was good - and how true He was! In fact I think good is an understatement! Incredible, breathtaking, magnificent are some words I would use to describe His creation.

So let’s be good stewards of it. Let’s love it, protect it and let it be beautiful. Celebrate the creativeness of our father and be a good steward to it all. Have a look at the world around you and find the beauty where you are. God Bless xx

“God looked over everything he had made; it was so good, so very good! It was evening, it was morning— Day Six.”
