Thought for the day 28

Thought for the Day

I’ve been reminded quite vividly today about how we are warned that the devil prowls around like a lion, (1 Peter 5:8 -  Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.) He is waiting to pounce on us when we least expect it. The bible also teaches us that the devil comes to steal from us, kill us (maybe dreams, relationships or destinies) and destroy us - that is to ultimately stop us from growing stronger with God and spreading the gospel.

He can do this by his lies, that we aren’t good enough/strong enough or able to do what God has called us to do. He will try and put things in our path to stop us from running with God and have distractions to take our eyes of Jesus... but the second part of the scripture says that God has come that we may have LIFE and life to abundance! So when we focus on Him and not the lies of the enemy we can stand against the wickedness and live a life full of Gods goodness and to the maximum!

So pray today against the work of the enemy, that God will allow you to see where he is trying to trick you and then ask God to give you His life for you, the one or abundance!

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
