Thought for the day 29

Thought for the Day

I love having fresh flowers around the house, my favourite is red roses or when they are in season, lovely long gladioli. I love the fresh and inviting look of the open flowers and how they are so unique and pretty.

But the problem is that they don’t last, a week of beauty and then they are floppy and dead. No new water or feed will help because what’s happened is they have been uprooted from the place that they were gaining their life from.

As a leader I’ve seen this happen to Christians over the years too, once full of life but they uprooted for one reason or another and then the life has gone - their roots that were once deep in God have been removed and their source of life has gone.

The bible tells us that those who are planted in the house (in the church, in His word, in His presence) will FLOURISH and no matter the age, they shall bear fruit and be fresh and flourishing.

I don’t know about you but I want to remain planted in the house of the Lord. I want it to be my source, my growing place and where I can bear fruit for Christ no matter my age! Think tonight about where you want your roots to be planted and make a decision that’s where they will stay. Let be alive and flourishing for Christ!

“Those who are planted in the house of the LORD Shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, To declare that the LORD is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭92:13-15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
