Thought for the Day
So this is my 31st thought for the day, it’s a whole months worth and I hope that they have been an encouragement and blessing to you.
And for my final thought I just had to mention my favourite verse in Psalm 91. It’s not a secret that I love wings - I have clothes with wings on, wallpaper with wings on, wing ornaments around the house and as you’d expect, these wings make me think of angels, Gods angels that he has put charge over me (and you!).
“For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.”
Psalms 91:11-12 NKJV
I love the imagine that the angels are surrounding us all the time and that they are protecting us, fighting battles we can’t see, I guess a bit like bodyguards if you like.
And when I think of an angel, I don’t see small, weak and all cute and fluffy, no, I see BIG, STRONG, COURAGEOUS and that they are BATTLE READY!
I’m reminded that God never leaves me, and that I need not worry because whatever I need, He provides. There’s also a verse that says we can take refuge under their wings, and that is such a picture of Gods goodness, that we can feel protected and safe in our battles.
“He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler.”
Psalms 91:4 NKJV
And so, after 31 days of having your thoughts encouraged, I want to end by just saying that God can be, and provide you with all you need. Drawing closer to him through his word, through your prayers and your worship, and by being an active member of His church - deepening your relationship with Him is the most important and valuable thing you can do. Then you’re ready to fight the battles and declare that Jesus Is Lord!
Be safe, keep close to God and keep running the unique path that He has entrusted to you.
