Operation Hope: Taking the Gospel to Africa
At Crossways Community Church, we believe in living out the Great Commission—going into all the world to preach the gospel and make disciples. We partner with Operation Hope, teaming up with their organization to embark on our annual mission trip to Africa. Together, we step out in faith, bringing the love and message of Jesus to those who are hungry for the truth.
A Mission of Compassion and Evangelism
During this life-changing trip, we visit orphanages, bringing hope and joy to children who have experienced unimaginable hardships. Our time with them is spent playing, sharing stories, worshiping together, and reminding them that they are loved and valued by God. These moments leave a lasting impact—not just on the children but on every mission team member as well.
But Operation Hope isn’t just about visiting orphanages—it’s about boldly proclaiming the gospel in every corner of the communities we visit. Whether standing in a packed church, preaching in open-air tent meetings, sharing testimonies at local markets, or declaring God’s truth from the back of a truck, we seize every opportunity to share the life-transforming message of Jesus Christ.
Faith in Action
Africa is a place where faith is stretched and strengthened. As we minister in tent meetings, crusades, and churches, we witness firsthand how God moves powerfully when we step out in obedience. The hunger for the gospel is tangible, and people respond with open hearts. We have seen miraculous healings, lives radically transformed, and entire families coming to know Christ.
Preaching in the streets and markets, we encounter people from all walks of life—some searching, some skeptical, but all in need of the love and truth that only Jesus can offer. There’s nothing quite like standing on the back of a truck, speaking into a sea of faces eager to hear about the hope found in Christ.
